Baby Gear Comparison Site · Custom Website Build / SEO / Content

Every baby gear spec, side by side

Cribpicks is our own build: a comparison site for new parents that puts every maker’s specs next to each other and lets the numbers do the talking. It’s also where we test what works in large-scale SEO and AI search, from site architecture across thousands of pages to content that answers the exact questions parents type.

Search first, then explore

01 · Homepage hero

Search first, then explore

The homepage opens on a search bar, popular searches and the three numbers that explain the site: products tracked, categories covered and zero paid rankings. The illustrated scene changes with the season, so the site feels looked after.

Where are you headed?

02 · Navigation

Where are you headed?

Nine departments sit along a winding trail, each with its product count. Every stop leads to a topic hub, so parents and search engines both get a clear path from broad to specific.

The big landmarks

03 · Category hubs

The big landmarks

The six categories parents research most each get an illustrated card with the model count and the price range most of them sell for, so people know what to expect before they click.

A hub for every category

04 · Topic hub

A hub for every category

Hub pages like Strollers break the category into types, then list every model in a filterable spec table, with budget tiers, a trunk-fit calculator, spec leaders and FAQs. One page answers dozens of searches.

Two models, every spec, one page

05 · Comparison pages

Two models, every spec, one page

Each comparison page lines up two products spec by spec, with a toggle to show only the differences. Comparison searches like “DEMI next vs Vista V3” get a page built for exactly that question.

Pack the picnic basket

06 · Interactive tool

Pack the picnic basket

A budget slider splits one number into gear, stock-up items and money to keep, so a big question gets a quick, friendly answer right on the homepage.

A planner that adjusts as you go

07 · Budget planner

A planner that adjusts as you go

The full budget planner walks parents through seven steps, from the big three to nice-to-haves, and adjusts to how they live: city or suburbs, feeding plan, diapers, twins. The piggy bank keeps a running total.

Guides and answers

08 · Content

Guides and answers

Guides target the questions parents actually search, from diaper sizes by weight to whether a stroller fits in an overhead bin. Filters by type and department keep the library easy to browse as it grows.

The little toolshed

09 · Free tools

The little toolshed

A budget planner, a clothing count calculator, a hospital bag checklist and a recall lookup guide, all free with no account. Useful tools earn links and repeat visits that articles alone don’t.

How every page is checked

10 · Trust

How every page is checked

Specs come from the maker, recall questions go to the agency that handles them, and anything unconfirmed is left out. A plain-language editorial policy backs it up, which matters for search on topics that affect families.
